BHS students receive Digie Awards

Two Brockport seniors were recognized during the 2022 Digie Awards, earning medals in the Graphic Art category. Quinn Carletta earned gold for his piece “The Road to a Cleaner Future” and Cameron Anderson earned bronze for his untitled piece.   

The Digies is an annual digital media festival run by the School Library System of the Genesee Valley BOCES. The awards encourage students to be active creators of digital media and celebrates their achievements and are open to PK-12 students and accepted through schools, arts councils or public libraries. Brockport High School submitted 10 entries in the 2022 Digies Festival.

The school also received Certificates of Achievement for the episode “BHS, Your Voice Now: Black History Month Podcast” in the Audio Award category for grades 10-12 and in the Video Award category for grades 10-12 for an episode of the book review website titled “Jury’s Verdict Book Reviews: The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy.” Other recognition awards were presented to Quinn Carletta, David Proctor, Nicholas Rodriguez, Brenna Green, Kaliyah Murch, Ella Johnson and Cameron Anderson for work submitted to the festival.
