Nenni signs contractNenni attends the Engineering and Metal Fabrication program at the Career and Technical Education Center at WEMOCO. This is his second year attending WEMOCO. Last year, Alex signed as a junior with MICRO Instruments for a shadowing position through the Finger Lakes Youth Apprenticeship Program.

The event was modeled after the NFL’s Draft Day and featured contract announcements, official signings between students and employers, photo ops and the first steps on their path to exciting careers.

The event was held at the Professional Development Center at the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES WEMOCO campus and was coordinated by Monroe Community College, the Rochester Technology and Manufacturing Association and Act4Education. 32 students signed with 14 local companies through this program, which began in 2019. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the event was shared virtually to those who could not attend in person.
