BECHS Explores the Future of Cybersecurity

What does the college cybersecurity experience really look like? Brockport Early College High School (BECHS) students got a firsthand look Friday, Nov. 6, when Damaury Tillman, a cybersecurity student and president of the Cybersecurity Club at SUNY Brockport, visited Brockport High School as a guest presenter.
During his visit, Damaury shared his college journey, including his transition from RIT to SUNY Brockport, and gave students an inside look at life as a cybersecurity student and student leader. He discussed his day-to-day experiences, his role as president of the Cybersecurity Club, and what he has learned along the way.
Passionate about cybersecurity and encouraging young people to explore opportunities in the field, Damaury offered students a valuable opportunity to hear directly from someone currently navigating a college pathway connected to their interests. Students were able to learn about his experiences, ask questions, and consider the possibilities ahead of them.
Thank you to Damaury for taking the time to share his experiences, enthusiasm and passion for cybersecurity with our BECHS students!
